Ownership?

There are many ways to own a horse. If you are interested we would be delighted to explore the different options with you.

We are a friendly yard and welcome you to see if owning a horse might be for you.

Sole

Ownership

 

 

 

An individual who owns the horse(s) outright. Horse(s) will race under your own name and carry your colours.

Company

 

A company may register as an owner. Horse(s) will race under the company name and carry the company colours.

A company director or secretary is appointed as the agent responsible for the administration and management.

Partnership

 

A partnership is a group of 2 - 4 people. All partners need to be registered as sole owners.

Horse(s) can run under the first named partner, a combination of partner names or a partnership name and will carry Partner 1’s colours.

Syndicate

 

A syndicate is a group of between 3 – 100 people. Horse(s) will race under the syndicate name and carry the syndicate colours. 

A syndicate has one agent responsible for administration and management.

All syndicates are required to have a syndicate agreement and code of conduct.

Club

 

A club is an unlimited group of people. Horse(s) will race under the club name and carry the club colours.

A club has two agents responsible for administration and management.

We can help set you up

Shared Ownership allows those interested in ownership to share the experience and costs with likeminded people. 

There are options to suit a range of budgets; 

If you are interested in setting up your own group, HRI Ownership can help get you started. Trainers and syndicate / club agents (i.e. managers) welcome all enquiries on their membership options.
