About Us

Aidan and the team run a dual purpose yard and offer Training and Pre Training to their clients.

Aidan Howard grew up in Westmeath and although he was a useful footballer, he loved horses from an early age. He enjoyed showjumping and hunting but soon got the racing bug. He was apprentice jockey to the late John Mulhern and later went to work for Tony Martin, where he honed his skills even further. Now at Aidan Howard Racing, we are well set up to train future stars of the turf ensuring the best care and planning along the way.

How we roll

At Aidan Howard Racing, we believe in putting in the hard work to achieve success. Aidan leads by example, and rides out with his string most mornings. This hands-on approach provides him with valuable feedback on each horse, allowing him to develop the best training program for each individual.

Alana, a former veterinary nurse comes from a racing background too. Her grandfather Vivian Kennedy rode and trained while her grandmother Kathleen Kennedy makes Jockey Silks on The Curragh.

Our team is dedicated to providing the highest quality care, coupled with top-notch training facilities and access to the best veterinary care ensuring that every horse under our supervision is given the best opportunity to succeed.
